The Instatus integration connects your AI agent to your Instatus status page. Your AI agent can answer customer questions about current outages, show which components are affected, and post incident updates on your behalf.
Great for teams that want to deflect support tickets during incidents by giving customers accurate, real-time status information inside the chat widget.
| Action | Description | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Get Current Status | Get the overall page status | Customer-facing |
| Get Active Incidents | List active and investigating incidents | Customer-facing |
| Get Components | Check status of individual components | Customer-facing |
| Create Incident | Publish a new incident to the status page | CoPilot |
| Add Incident Update | Post an update to an open incident | CoPilot |
Before setting up the Instatus integration, you'll need:
| Field | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| API Key | Your Instatus API key | xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
| Page ID | Your Instatus page ID | clxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
After setup, test the integration by opening your AI agent widget and asking:
The AI should respond with live data pulled directly from your Instatus status page.
Make sure the API key is active and has not expired. You can check and regenerate keys in your Instatus account settings under API Keys.
Confirm the page ID is correct. Find it in the URL when editing your page in the Instatus dashboard.
Publish at least one component on your Instatus page. Unpublished components are not returned by the API.
