What You'll Need

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • An email address to create your account
  • Content for training — website URL, documents, or text about your business
  • 5 minutes of your time
Pro Tip
The more relevant content you provide during training, the better your agent will understand and respond to customer questions. Start with your FAQ page or most common support topics.

Create Your Account

Getting started with ChatSpark takes just a few clicks:

  1. Visit chatspark.io/pricing and select a plan (we offer a free tier to get started)
  2. Enter your email address and complete checkout
  3. Check your inbox — we'll send a welcome email with your login credentials
  4. Log in and you're ready to create your first agent

Create Your First Agent

Once logged in, creating an AI agent is straightforward. Each agent you create is powered by the ChatSpark AI Engine — our 4-step process that delivers 80%+ resolution rates.

  1. Click "My AI Agents" in the sidebar
  2. Click "Create AI Agent"
  3. You'll start on the Training Sources tab — add your website URL, upload files, or paste text
  4. Click "Next" to continue to the Settings tab
  5. Select your AI Agent Type (Website is selected by default, or choose Slack, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, or Telegram)
  6. Enter an internal name and public-facing agent name
  7. Customize the primary color, avatar, and personality
  8. Click "Save Agent"
Note
The internal name is for your reference in the dashboard. The Agent Name is what customers will see in the chat widget.

Add Training Data

Training data is how your agent learns about your business. On the Training Sources tab, you can add:

  • Files — Upload PDFs, Word docs, CSVs, and text files
  • Text — Paste in FAQs, product info, or any relevant content
  • Website — Crawl your entire site or add individual page URLs

To add more training data to an existing agent, go to My AI Agents, click on your agent, and you'll be on the Training Sources tab. Your agent will automatically retrain when you add new content.

Test Your Agent

Before going live, test your agent thoroughly:

  1. Go to My AI Agents and find your agent
  2. Click the preview icon to open a live chat preview
  3. Ask questions your customers typically ask
  4. Check that responses are accurate and helpful
  5. Test edge cases and questions outside your training data
Testing Checklist
Ask about pricing, hours, contact info, return policies, and any other common questions. If the agent doesn't know something, add that information to your training data.

Deploy to Your Website

Ready to go live? Adding ChatSpark to your website is simple:

  1. Go to My AI Agents
  2. Click the code icon on your agent
  3. Enter your website domain(s)
  4. Copy the embed script
  5. Paste it before the closing </body> tag on your website

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Not enough training data — The more content you provide, the smarter your agent
  • Outdated information — Keep your training data current
  • Ignoring analytics — Check your dashboard for unanswered questions
  • No fallback — Set up lead capture for questions your agent can't answer
