Overview

The HappyFox Chat integration connects your AI agent to HappyFox Chat for live agent handoffs. Your chatbot can check if agents are available and transfer conversations with full context when human help is needed.

Ideal for teams using HappyFox Chat who want AI to handle initial inquiries with seamless escalation to live agents.

Prerequisites

Before setting up the HappyFox Chat integration, you'll need:

  • A HappyFox Chat account
  • Admin access to generate API credentials

Setup Instructions

Step 1: Get Your API Credentials

  1. Log in to your HappyFox Chat admin
  2. Navigate to SettingsIntegrations
  3. Look for API or developer settings
  4. Generate or copy your API credentials

Step 2: Enable in ChatSpark

  1. In ChatSpark, go to AI Actions
  2. Find HappyFox Chat in the Library and click Enable
  3. Select the chatbot(s) that should have access
  4. Enter your API credentials
  5. Click Save

Testing Your Integration

After setup, test the integration:

  1. Ensure agents are online in HappyFox Chat
  2. Open your chatbot widget
  3. Try asking: “Are there any agents available?”

  • “Transfer me to a human”
  • “Talk to support”
  • “Can I chat with a person?”

Troubleshooting

No agents available

Handoffs require agents to be online in HappyFox Chat. Check your team's availability and schedules.

API connection failed

Verify your API key is correct and hasn't expired. Generate a new key if needed.

Handoff not transferring context

Ensure your HappyFox Chat plan supports API integrations with full conversation context transfer.
